Alan Williams from UC-Santa Barbara has been selected for StatSheet's Big West Player of the Week for December 24th. StatSheet's Big West Freshman of the Week goes to Taran Brown from UC-Santa Barbara. And last but certainly not least, Chris McNealy from UC Irvine takes home StatSheet's Big West 6th Man of the Week.

Williams topped the Big West in rebounding (11.0 per game). He also tallied a good showing in scoring (12 pts per game). The UC-Santa Barbara sophomore played well for the Gauchos in losses to California and Wyoming.

Williams posted 8 points and 12 rebounds in 34 minutes in a 68-59 loss to California. He then led all scoring and rebounding with a 16 point and 10 rebound performance in a 56-40 loss to Wyoming.

This is the first StatSheet Big West Player of the Week award for Alan Williams. However, he has received an honorable mention. The runner-up this week is Cal Poly junior Chris Eversley. Honorable mention goes to junior Dan Jennings from Long Beach State. The highest ranking player from Cal State Northridge was Stephan Hicks who finished 11th.
